About Lakes Entrance

Lakes Entrance is the town at the opening between the Gippsland Lakes and the ocean, allowing the largest commercial fishing fleet in Australia to return to safe anchorage. Fish are unloaded on Bullock Island where there is a viewing area and fish available for sale to the general public.

Cruise boats conduct regular sight-seeing tours of the lakes throughout the year. Boat owners can launch their own boats and hire boats are also available.
